“Hello everyone. My name is Nathan… and I’m an info junkie…”
Hi and thanks for popping in to my first post here at NathanRufus.com.
A Tiny Bit About Me.
As you already know my name’s Nathan and I’m from London, UK. I have a full time job as a train driver for London Underground and most of my day is spent in a tunnel, either staring at red and green lights, or better still in complete and utter darkness.
Not only that, but I’m completely alone and they (the powers that be) don’t even allow you to listen to your ipod while your driving (evil, evil people).
But That’s All About To Change…
Now although my job is not the best in the world (I absolutely hate it), I am grateful for one thing, it does allow me to look after my beautiful family. I have a wife called Sarah and two children. My son Kaylen is one and my daughter (real daddy’s girl) Jasmine, is six.
But the job situation is going out of the window. I’m going to QUIT MY JOB on or before May 26th 2011 (…head is now on the block and the knives are out)
Why am I so sure that everything is going to change? What makes me so confident that I’m really going to be able to leave the land of the employed?
I got myself a mentor!
I just paid a bunch of money to be mentored by an super internet marketer named Alex Jeffreys. I’m now four weeks into the coaching course and it’s been absolutely LIFE CHANGING. Alex is teaching us how to create a REAL business (instead of just trying to make money online, there’s a MASSIVE difference), and what I’ve learnt from him already has changed absolutley everything I’ve been doing online up until this date.
The thing is I’m going to use this blog to pass on the Internet Marketing knowledge to You.
Who is this blog for?
This blog has been put up for EVERYONE WHO IS SUFFERING FROM INFORMATION OVERLOAD about Internet Marketing. Those people that, like me, have spent thousands on information products (without doing anything with them) and who just wants it all to stop.
If you’re completely new to Internet Marketing and you’ve found your way here then this blog is going to save you a hell of a lot of time and money.
Hopefully you’ll be able to learn from my mistakes, but also watch as I BUILD A REAL INTERNET BUSINESS FROM SCRATCH.
Now I won’t tell you a lie, I’m not a complete newbie but I’m a million miles away from “guru status”.
I just think that I can be a lot of help to people that want to make money online and who really want to build a real online business.
LET ME ASK YOU A QUESION (please).
Have you ever felt like you’re not quite who you’re supposed to be? Have you ever felt that the life that you’re living is not the one that was meant for you? Well I felt that way all the time, until now, because I know I’m now creating the life that myself and my family were truly meant to have and I want to help you create yours to.
This will probably be the longest post that I ever write, but because it is my first I hope you can let me off!
WHAT’S HOLDING YOU BACK FROM SUCCESS ONLINE?
HAVE YOU STARTED OR ARE YOU JUST GETTING GOING?
WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT I CAN MOST HELP YOU WITH?
Reach new heights.
We’ll catch up soon,
Nathan
P.S. THIS IS THE LONGEST POST I’LL EVER WRITE (PROMISE!)
P.P.S. LEAVE A COMMENT (I ALWAYS TRY TO REPLY) BELOW IF YOU LIKE AND LET’S START A CONVERSATION.

Hi Nathan,
Yes, I too feel your pain! I’m also an info junkie and have a hard drive full of, mostly, obsolete ‘stuff’ most of which I’ve never even unzipped!
I notice this blog post is 3 days old now – I hope you’re still motivated because I’d like to follow your progress because I’ve also made up my mind that 2010 is going to be the year that everything changes.
All the best,

Hi Nathan
Nice to talk to a local boy! I lived in London myself up until 6 years ago when I moved to Luton.
You’ve got a really cool blog site here and I enjoyed reading your blog post, well done.
I suppose my commens on what’s holding me back is: NOTHING – not any more!
I left my job last December as it was time for me to start the process of change. Things have been very difficult financially, but change does not come easily.
I still need to learn to stick to a schedule that includes the other imporant things in my life like housework (blegh!), cooking, church, going out for exercise etc. , and that”s been quite difficult for me when all I want to do is focus on starting to make money online.
But, hey, that’s where learning to run a business comes in. I need to apply discipline and takes things step by step.
Thanks for your comment on my post. I’ve posted a reply there too.
Wishing you every success as you seek to take care of your beautiful family.

Thanks Jaycee for stopping by. Keep on coming back, we’ll be working together soon!

Hey Nathan,
I was going to suggest you listen to an ipod, then you mentioned you couldn’t.
Your job must be a bit soul destroying.
I cannot imagine ever working full time in such a job, I really do wish you all the luck in the world and hope you achieve every single one of your dreams online.

Thanks for stopping by. Was just writing a new post then I saw comment.
James, you’re not a newbie my friend. You are a beginner Internet Marketer.
We’ll definitely be out of a “day job” in less than a year.
Just finished another post that you’re might be interested. The timing of your comment is almost divine my friend when you see the title of the next blog post.
Thank again for popping in.

Hi Nathan,
Love the style of your blog and the style of your writing, very catching.
Looking at the amount of comments, plenty agree as well.
The course IS life changing and we are all going to succeed if we push each other all the way.
Got no target regarding quitting a job as was made redundant end of last year so got to make it work. I have no doubt that you will reach your target in 12 months time, 377 days at the most and counting.
Take care and good luck
Simon

Simon.
I’ll tell you something and this is no joke.
I envy you.
Right now, If I was in your position I know that I would be able to build this business in double quick time.
My “day job” actually gets in the way.
And trust me. I have thought about just quitting so that I can really give this a go, but that would be irresponsible of me as I have a family to feed now.
But if the decision was forced upon me. I don’t know if I’d be that sad about it.
Entrepreneurs (as we all are here) are not meant be employed.
And do you know what my friend. Soon, we won’t be! And it will be through choice!
I see you have a daughter in the picture. Our girls are the driving force behind what we do!
Thanks for reaching out.

Louis thanks for coming in my friend,
You should come to the UK. There’s actually only one team in the Premier league and that Tottenham Hotspurs
Goals are the most important thing about the business, because you can’t get to where you want if you don’t know where you’re going.
Next post was going to be about getting your blog going, but I think that’s more important.
Back to work.

Thanks a lot PJ,
It’s funny. Right now I’ve had a massive U-Turn. I LOVE MY JOB!
Do you know why? (…this is backward but bare with me…)
Well, I love my job because I hate it so much, that it’s maknig me work twice as hard at building the business.
Now that’s some wierd logic.
Thanks for coming in my friend.
We’re getting out of the rat race together. ALL OF US.

Glad to have you along on the ride. Steven, we need to have a chat my friend. Your blog post about the law of attraction is just one of the many references to the book “The Secret” that I have seen since I finished reading it about ten days ago. It’s really freaking me out now, but in a good way. We must sit down and have a chat about it sometime. The law of attraction is really influencing my life right now.

Hello Nathan,
I understand what your going through and I too plan on changing my lifestyle I am from London myself around Catford area 19 years of age and I am about to start doing article marketing if you would like us to work together or follow each other’s progress and help each other out I would mind doing that I would call myself newbie as been trying online for almost a year now but have failed.

Joseph,
Thanks for coming by the blog. Nice to see another Londoner in this Internet Marketing world.
Joseph, what impresses me is that you’re so young and interested in Internet Marketing. I wish I knew about this stuff when I was that age (…you’re going to go far my friend…)
One thing though Joseph, YOU HAVEN’T FAILED! You’ve just not found a business model that works for you yet.
I’m going through some major changes in my business now and would recommend something to you right off the bat.
Forget everything else that you’ve done AND JUST CONCENTRATE ON LIST BUILDING.
I’m going to be doing a few new things and then posting the results up on this blog so keep a look out.
Would definitely be interested in working with someone so local.
You’re going to be a success because you’re still trying after a year of what you’ve called “failure”.
You have persistence and that’s the first thing you need.
Well done.
Reach new heights,
Nathan
